Ina Rosenberg Garten is an American writer, host of Barefoot Contessa, a Food Network Program. She was a part of White House members in the Office of Management and Budget. Time Life’s cookbook series served as a significant influence since Garten inherited a subscription to a Time-Life cookbook subscription from her mother in law. Modern Comfort Food is the most popular book written by her.
She started to try different recipes and get feedback from her friends after completing a meal to try better next time. Ina got training from Eli Zabar and Food Connoisseur Martha Stewart to strengthen her cooking. She makes cur à la crème, celery root remoulade, pear clafoutis and beef bourguignon in simple and elaborate.
Garten began her professional cooking career with her gourmet food store Barefoot Contessa. Eventually, she wrote more cookbooks, contributed columns to magazines, launched several self-branded convenience products, and hosted her TV show.
Modern Comfort Food : a Barefoot Contessa cookbook, is a New York best-selling book written by Inna Rosenberg Garten, including delicious meal recipes. Garten’s book is considered the best cookbook of the year.
The author has shared almost 80 recipes in her book that are quiet enough to feed your deepest cravings. A few recipes are written from a child's perspective, but they are so good you don't even hear them, like grilled cheese sandwiches with chutney or crushed buns with caramelized onions.
The only thing more comforting than sitting down with the people you love to have a meal is when the food is like these Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas. Sausages, Onions, and Peppers have never tasted so good or been so easy to make. They can all be made this way for a quick cleanup.
