Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabovok, whose pen is Vladimir Sirin, was a poet, a Russian-American novelist, translator, and an entomologist. He was born in Russia. When he lived in Berlin, he wrote his first nine books in Russian.  Her best publication of all the time is Lolita (Vintage International).

He moved to the United States in 1945 and became a citizen of America, where he started writing novels in English. Furthermore, Vladimir and his wife shifted to Europe in 1961, where they live in Montreux, Switzerland. 

Nabokov has written many books. His novel Lolita (Vintage International) ranked fourth in the list of best hundred stories of the modern library in 2007. Another novel named The Pale from him was also on the same list at 53rd number. He was nominated for the National Book Award for Fiction seven times.

Lolita is famous for the Controversial subject. The story revolves around a middle-aged literature professor who has fallen for a 12-years old girl. He became her stepfather and sexually involved with her. However, Lolita is his private nickname.

The novel’s original language was English, and it was first published in Paris in 1955 by Olympia Press. Lolita (Vintage International) soon became a famous classic novel. A film was made on the basis of this novel in 1962 by Stanley Kubrick. In 1997 Adrian Lyne was made into this novel. It was used on stage several times. 

Many writers consider this novel to be the best work of the 20th century. It also remained the best book in different book lists, including Le Monde’s 100 Books of the Century, Bokklubben World Library, Time’s List of the 100 Best Novels, and The BIG Read. 

The story starts with the birth of Humbert in Paris in 1910. Most of the time was in the French Riviera. There he fell in love with a friend whose name was Annabel Leigh. But she died very early. Moreover, this incident affected Humbert badly and disturbed him, and caused him to be involved in a sexual relationship with a girl who was just 12 or 14 years old.
